Moving a fish from one tank to another isn't just as simple as catch in net and then put in other tank. You have to slowly get them acclimated to the new water parameters or the shock could kill them. This is especially important when dealing with a sick, injured, or hungry female that's been holding for a while. Here's a tip on how to move a fish from one tank to an isolation tank with minimal stress on the fish.
