my electric yellow doesn't seem to be doing all that well i think, it seems to have a shriveled appearance to its head particularly the nose, it looks as though its carrying but im not sure. About a week ago i tested the waters and their was a 4ppm of ammonia but i quickly changed half the water for about 3 days and now theres no ammonia the ph is 7.4 i have been using aquasonic rift lake water conditioner when also doing water changes... its also seems to be breathing rapidly and chewing...someone please help

Re: whats wrong with my electric yellow?

Mighty,

Is your avatar a pic of the fish in question? At a quick glance it looks like the fish is holding.

One thing that concerns me is the ammonia in your water. If you have ammonia in your water it's likely the tank isn't yet cycled properly.

Take a look at the list of questions at the top of the forum page and provide answers for each. That will help us help you figure out any tank set-up problems that might be causing health problems with your fish.
